What the Vendor Says:

Having lived on a main road in Bexleyheath for 7 years, the move to Joydens Wood, Bexley was the best move we ever made for us & our two teenage daughters.
This March will be our 4th year in our home. Our immediate shock when viewing was how huge the space is inside which is extremely deceiving from the front aspect of the property. We bought from a couple who had lived & loved this bungalow for 30 years prior to us with their now grown up children.
We've benefitted hugely from the 3 double bedrooms and guest bedroom (which we now use as an office space) as well as the toilet downstairs and additional bathroom with separate shower upstairs.
As a family we have loved the open plan space the house has offered, especially when we have friends visit as its just so sociable, the summer time is also great for entertaining in the garden with the patio doors open, garden furniture out, it's a fantastic space and one we will miss.
There are a lot of small benefits that I guess we overlooked when we first agreed to buy this property, such as an inbuilt wardrobe in the study for coats & shoes, a very useful pantry in the lounge for all cleaning products, hoovers etc and the fitted Kitchen with tons of storage space and work top space, as we do love to cook.
The garden is quiet, not overlooked & very low maintenance with astro turf being used. The massive summerhouse could be used for many different purposes, ie gym, teenage hang out, relaxation space, We use it primarily for storage currently but our girls had used it as an arts and crafts area up til recently. But with some imagination the space again on offer is quite special.
Joydens Wood is 5 mins drive from Bexley Village & the train station, we have found it to be a secluded & a very welcoming place to live, with a small selection of outstanding local shops & farm shops on the doorstep, plus the beautiful Joydens Wood for dog walking or just rambling. The bluebells in Spring are breathtaking. There is a very active online residents association where advice, info & news is passed around all who wish to join too.
It will be sad to leave & will take with us many happy memories, but we are yearning for the sea & the coast as a new chapter in our lives with our family & dogs.
All we would suggest is, like us, view it before you make up your mind, as we are certain that also like us, you will be pleasantly surprised.
